E-Foiling Lessons at Lake Arvesta Farms
Learn to Float above the water effortlessly with a battery powered electric hydrofoil.

E-Foiling is much easier to learn than kitefoiling, wingfoiling and wakefoiling and is the safest pre-requisite to these disciplines.

This 2 hour E-foiling course will cover basic operations, handling and safety of your E-foil. In the first half hour, we will simulate the motions of getting on the board on land, followed by the controlling the throttle control on the water while getting up from your stomach to your knees, then feet and foil.

What is provided? You will be provided with a floatation vest and radio helmet to communicate with your instructor. Wetsuits can also be provided if needed.

What you should bring? The most important items to bring are full wetsuits and booties in case you fall on or kick the foil. This provides an extra layer of protection. If you do not have these items, you can either buy or a rent a wetsuit for your lesson. Please also bring a water bottle, a swimsuit, sun protection and towel. Is it easy or hard to learn?

Everyone learns at a different rate, but learning to actually foil can be quite easy.

About the Instructor

Tyler Spence is the owner of Stoke Riders and an experienced IKO certified kiteboarding instructor.  He has been instructing since 2013. He was inspired to start kiteboarding after a trip to Cabarete in the Domincan Republic where he found himself at one of the most popular kiteboarding destinations in the Caribbean. He was then fortunate enough to have gotten hooked on kiting on the windy shores of Lake Michigan and share the stoke with his fellow students around the Midwest.
